GERMS (PERSPEX)
‘Germs’ is an approach to the complexity and misinformation about fetish and desire. Embracing the self-deprecating side of desire that germinates in quantity, absurdity, and uniqueness. The composition conveys a sense of unity be it through an orgy of like-minded others, or within the chaotic imagination of oneself. The angles, curves, and positions of the images seek perfection in their desire, yet are contorted to represent the human aspect of imperfect sex.
‘Boot’
The absurdity of the Boot’s shape makes it look like it is impossible to put on. This is usually the case for outsiders looking at fetish-wear. The item of clothing is designed to be uncomfortable or of a certain form. The Boot stands to represent the persistence and refinement of desire, exhibited in the boldness of the colour and its clean-cut edges. The pure blackness also looks like a void negative space, perhaps alluding to the shame of desire and the mental struggle of acceptance. However if there is one thing the the Boot truly stands for, is how you have learned to understand yourself.
